Gentleman's Club

An Apology Letter to the Gentlemen’s Club.

It is with a sense of regret that I have to type this letter out. I have missed meetings this year, and in the foreseeable future will continue to be absent.

Apology

I wish to apologise for not fulfilling my commitments of attendance to the fellows of the club.

Reason

I have undertaken a study timetable, which is requiring more time than I anticipated. In spite of my best planning strategies, I cannot seem to manufacture the time off, required for GC. I am disappointed to be missing out on the regular get together, and realise that it sounds like quite a weak reason. But the truth is, there just is not anyway I can go out during the week. I am now busy with my first block exams, and hope to catch up with you men during my one-week vac.

Outcome

With the rest of the year looking just as full, I hereby request a sabbatical from the GC until January 2002. This has never been formally requested, but members such as Mr. Jackson Snr, Mr. Lawson, Mr. Weldon and  Mr. Nielson are in effect in a suspended state of membership. I would be in a different position as I am in the geographical area, but unable to attend due to University commitments. If this is debated, please consider that I am unable to prioritise the GC over the MBA, as I am investing a great deal in the degree.

Thank you for you consideration.
